Meet Nathaly Castellanos

Marketing Strategist + Creative + Copywriter.

I've had the opportunity to live in three different countries - Colombia, Ecuador, and the United States - and in seven different cities. I'm absolutely passionate about traveling and experiencing new cultures. In Colombia, I grew up and developed my love for family, friends, music, and God (faith is an essential part of my life). In Ecuador, I had the chance to volunteer for a year, which was a truly eye-opening experience. And in the United States, I learned a second language and trained professionally as a marketer. I never planned to stay longer than two years, but I fell in love with Chicago and ended up meeting my soulmate there. (love story in the process, for my next blog)

I always had a dilemma when it came to choosing my life's path - should I pursue a career where I can help others (medicine, social work,) or should I follow my passion for arts? That's when I found marketing and creating: Grace Media ( bc that is also my dream, being a business owner) and I'm able to let my creativity flow while also serving others, solving problems, and making connections. After all, marketing is all about getting to know people and using creativity to communicate effectively.

It's so great to have you here! My name is Nathaly, but my friends usually call me Nathy.

I grew up in Cali, Colombia, a city bursting with music, art, faith, family, friends, and lots of love. I always had a passion for the arts, and I spent a lot of time singing in the school choir. Later on, I pursued my love for music and worked as a Choir Director for kids, while also teaching art and singing at Church.

I remember one day, one of my friends started her own business, and I was eager to help her with photography, branding, and everything else involved. I wanted her to succeed, and it was also something that I enjoyed as a hobby. I've always loved writing and helping others express themselves, so it's no surprise that my friends used to ask me to write love letters for their boyfriends back in high school. Who knew that this passion and skill would eventually lead me to start my own company, Grace Media? wow. (I'm still processing it lol)
